Aidoc’s solutions implemented in six of the largest hospitals in Israel

A technological leap that improves patient care

Aidoc, the leading provider of AI solutions for radiologists, announced today that the six largest medical centers in Israel have begun using its AI technology to analyze CT scans and automatically identify critical findings including cerebral hemorrhage, pulmonary embolism, stroke and C-spine fractures. This further cements Aidoc’s position as a leader in the AI space.

Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem, Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov) in Tel Aviv, Rabin Medical Center (Beilinson and Hasharon) in Petah Tikva from the Clalit Group, Assuta Medical Centers and Shaare Zedek all join Haim Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer, the first hospital to implement the company’s solutions in Israel. “We are proud to be the first to use the company’s solutions and have been seeing daily value from its use for over three years,” said Professor Eli Konen, director of the imaging department at Sheba. “Just this week the system alerted a patient with a pulmonary embolism – the radiologist had just finished a shift and was expected to review the scan the next day. Luckily for us, Aidoc’s alert prioritized the scan to a radiologist who confirmed that this was indeed an urgent case and immediately called the emergency room to make sure the patient was being treated. Today, radiologists feel they have an “extra pair of eyes,” which ensures that our patients receive the best care in the fastest time possible.”

The six hospitals constitute a significant percentage of the medical system in Israel. “The fact that the Aidoc runs in the background is a safety net for us – for doctors it is an empowering experience. There is a combination of man and machine that together provide accurate and rapid diagnoses to our patients,” said Professor Jacob Sosna, Director of the imaging department at Hadassah. “The use of technology by interns also improves their diagnostic ability and increases the confidence of physicians in their initial training stages – there is indeed a technological leap here that is mainly about improving service to our patients. Thanks to Aidoc, in urgent patients the findings are discovered earlier.”

Especially now it’s critical to have a safety net that works with the doctors and makes sure our patients get the best service.”
