About this role

The Security DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the design, building, and maintenance of the core infrastructure underpinning our cloud platform, with a strong focus on security automation and integration throughout the development lifecycle. This role involves tackling challenging, large-scale infrastructure and security projects, with a focus on ensuring organizational reliability, scalability, security-by-design, and adherence to best practices and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

Own DevSecOps projects end-to-end, from research and design to implementation and rollout.
Lead Infrastructure improvements around high availability, resiliency, performance and cost efficiency.
Integrate security tools and processes (SAST, DAST, IAST, SCA) into the CI/CD pipelines (Shift Left).
Design, implement, and maintain security controls for cloud infrastructure (AWS) and Kubernetes.
Perform regular security assessments, vulnerability management, and remediation efforts.
Evaluate and implement new technologies that upgrade our infra and security posture.
Collaborate with other engineers to define standards, patterns, and platform roadmap, advocating for security best practices.
Serve as a technical expert in infrastructure and cloud security decisions and a driver of engineering excellence.

Requirements

At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps/DevSecOps in large-scale infrastructure companies.
Passion for elegant and effective technological solutions.
Independent learning capability and curiosity without boundaries.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to lead complex technical projects independently.
Technical requirements:
Advanced experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
Strong proficiency with IaC Frameworks such as Terraform and Terragrunt, CDK
Solid hands-on experience with AWS services, including native security services (e.g., Security Hub, GuardDuty, KMS).
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, with a focus on network security.
Proven experience implementing security scanning and testing tools in CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with secrets management solutions (e.g., Vault, AWS Secrets Manager).
