US Thought Leaders Discuss AI Adoption and Implementation

Radiology leaders in the United States are focusing heavily on the potential for artificial intelligence to deliver quality and efficiency augmentation. We recently hosted a live Q&A webinar panel of US radiology thought leaders to learn how they are approaching AI and hear their unique perspectives on how it can be used to support practices in delivering the highest quality of care.

We heard from Dr. Geraldine McGinty, President of the ACR, Dr. Nina Kottler, VP of Operations at Radiology Partners, Dr. Cindy Kallman, Chief, Section of CT, Co-Director, Body Imaging and Intervention at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Elad Walach CEO of Aidoc.

Here are some of the takeaways from a great panel discussion with our US thought leaders:

On the value of AI in radiology…

  • The focus of AI’s value is centered around improving efficiency such as shortened report times, decreased variability and improved patient outcomes.

On the challenges around AI adoption…

  • The availability of structured data and the ability to select the right vendor who will be a true partner during the adoption stage.

Are we ready to see AI as a part of our standard of care?

Radiologists are innovators who are at the interface between technology and humanity.  AI is no longer in the hype stage but it will take some time until it becomes standard of care.
