How Aidoc's New Automated Dynamic Risk Stratification Feature Benefits PERTs

Pulmonary embolism response teams (PERTs) must move quickly. The faster they’re able to make informed treatment decisions and begin care, the more likely they are to help make a life-altering difference for the patient. Now, our solution will help PERTs move even faster, thanks to a new feature: Automated Dynamic Risk Stratification.

How it Works

Aidoc’s Care Coordination solution sends automatic notifications to PERTs via mobile app when it flags a patient with a suspected pulmonary embolism (PE). Within the app, clinicians can view the patient’s imaging and data while they’re on the move. It provides real-time electronic health record (EHR) integration and a HIPAA-compliant chat function to help coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams – all from one streamlined, mobile place.

Now, with automated dynamic PE risk stratification built into the mobile app, patients are categorized by risk type and the information is displayed on screen. As time goes on, AI automatically tracks suspected findings and new data – including updated labs and vitals – to dynamically adjust and display the patient’s current risk based on the facility’s protocol.

Individuals on the care team can also adjust their notification settings, including the option to receive real-time status updates to continue monitoring a patient after treatment.

The Benefits of Automation

Automated stratification helps PERTs:

  • Immediately view a patient’s risk level
  • Prioritize at-risk patients for treatment decisions
  • Make informed treatment decisions faster
  • Enhance workflow automation and efficiency
  • Standardize risk assessment across the site for a unified approach to patient evaluation
  • Reduce cognitive burden and manual workload

The Benefits of Dynamic Stratification

A patient’s condition can change rapidly. The ability to dynamically adjust risk based on the latest data enables PERTs to save critical minutes. Now, they won’t have to conduct lengthy manual processes to determine a patient’s risk level. Instead, they can automatically view the patient’s risk from a mobile app and prioritize the most urgent cases throughout the entire treatment process.

Aidoc’s Comprehensive PERT Solution

Beyond dynamic risk stratification, Aidoc’s PERT Solution helps:

  • Prioritize findings for radiology
  • Streamline communications to facilitate appropriate treatment decisions
  • Decrease time-to-treatment
  • Reduce length of stay

Faster care coordination can make all the difference for patients with PEs. If you’re interested in optimizing your facility’s workflow and experiencing faster time-to-treatment, contact us.
