About this role

We are looking for a Staff Frontend Engineer to take complete technical ownership of our flagship web application. This is a role for a highly experienced developer who will architect, build, and lead the platform's evolution into a modern, robust, and cohesive system. You will be the definitive expert for all frontend decisions- diving deep into the code to set architectural standards, driving the development of our design system, and championing coding excellence across the team.

This strategic position requires deep, hands-on development. You will be responsible for defining the technical roadmap, setting a high bar for code quality through direct contribution, and ensuring the entire frontend stack is capable of supporting both immediate product delivery and aggressive long-term growth. You will partner closely with the design team to write the code that brings a unified design language to life.

Responsibilities

Architect and Build Foundational Platform: Strategically plan, lead, and execute the creation of the web application's new architecture and system, ensuring a foundation built for superior performance, maintainability, and business continuity.
Define Architectural Strategy: Establish and maintain the technical direction for the team, ensuring our products achieve long-term scalability and resilience. You will be trusted with the autonomy and influence to design critical solutions and make key technical decisions that directly impact the company's growth.
End-to-End Ownership: Take full feature ownership, from the initial concept through to successful deployment, collaborating closely with Product and UX teams to turn the team’s vision into reality.
Engineering Mentorship: Provide active mentorship to engineers through rigorous design and code reviews and architectural discussions, fostering a strong culture of high technical standards and continuous learning.

Requirements

Staff level experience in building complex software systems, including technical leadership or mentorship capacity.
Proven ability to successfully lead and execute high-scale greenfield or major architectural transformation projects, leveraging best practices like architectural trade-offs and design reviews.
Prior experience in mentoring engineers and actively contributing to the scaling of engineering culture.
A resourceful "can-do" mindset and a profound sense of personal ownership.
A boundless curiosity and the proven ability to learn independently.
Exceptional communication skills.
Experience with mobile application development and deployment lifecycle - an advantage.
BSc/MSc in Computer Science or a related field - an advantage.
Experience with native applications development - an advantage.
